This is the golden question that honestly keeps us in business it states in ever manual that yearly tank flushing is mandatory for prolonged life of the system. Calcium is the number 1 killer for water heaters in our area, with most of us living on our own water systems pulling water from the ground or lake, Even areas like Uxbridge and Lindsay have hard water in there municipality water.
We do offer this as a service but we feel its something every home owner can do themselves to save the service cost to come out, we have pulled water heaters 30+ years old from old farmers who drain the system 3 times a year, well we also pull tanks out that are 5 years old leaking due to lack of maintenance
